کلیم نام اردو زبان میں استعمال ہونے والا ایک نام ہے۔ یہ عربی زبان کا نام ہے جس کا مطلب "بات کرنے والا" ہوتا ہے۔ قرآن میں بھی کلیم اللہ کا نام آیا ہے جو حضور موسیٰ علیہ السلام کو دیا گیا تھا۔ حضور موسیٰ علیہ السلام کو اللہ تعالیٰ نے اپنے نبیوں میں سے ایک بنایا تھا اور انہیں اپنی طرف سے وحی بھی دی گئی تھی۔
