عفیفہ نام اردو زبان کا ایک خوبصورت نام ہے جو لڑکیوں کے لئے استعمال ہوتا ہے۔ عفیفہ کا مطلب "شریف، بازوقت، پاکیزہ" ہوتا ہے۔ یہ نام اسلامی تعلیمات کے مطابق بہت اچھا اور پاک نام ہے۔
قرآن میں بھی عفیفہ کا ذکر ہوتا ہے۔ سورہ النور کی آیت نمبر ۲۶ میں اللہ تعالیٰ فرماتے ہیں:
"اللَّهُ نُورُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۚ مَثَلُ نُورِهِ كَمِشْكَاةٍ فِيهَا مِصْبَاحٌ ۖ الْمِصْبَاحُ فِي زُجَاجَةٍ ۖ الزُّجَاجَةُ كَأَنَّهَا كَوْكَبٌ دُرِّيٌّ يُوقَدُ مِن شَجَرَةٍ مُّبَارَكَةٍ زَيْتُونَةٍ لَّا شَرْقِيَّةٍ وَلَا غَرْبِيَّةٍ يَكَادُ زَيْتُهَا يُضِيءُ وَلَوْ لَمْ تَمْسَسْهُ نَارٌ ۚ نُّورٌ عَلَىٰ نُورٍ ۗ يَهْدِي اللَّهُ لِنُورِهِ مَن يَشَاءُ ۚ وَيَضْرِبُ اللَّهُ الْأَمْثَالَ لِلنَّاسِ ۗ وَاللَّهُ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيمٌ"
اس آیت میں اللہ تعالیٰ کو نور السماوات والأرض کہا گیا ہے اور اس نور کی مثال بیان کی گئی ہے۔ اس مثال میں مصباح کی بات کی گئی ہے جو ایک زجاجے میں رکھا گیا ہے اور وہ زجاجہ ایک دریا کے ماننے والے چمکتے ستارے کی طرح ہے جو ایک مبارک زیتون کے درخت سے نکلتا ہے۔ اس زیتون کا تیل بغیر کسی آگ کے بھی روشنی دیتا ہے۔ یہ نور ایک نور پر نور ہے جو اللہ تعالیٰ کسی کو بھی اپنے نور کی طرف راہ دکھاتا ہے۔
Meaning of the Name Afifa in Urdu and the Quran
Afifa is a beautiful name in the Urdu language that is used for girls. The meaning of Afifa is "noble, virtuous, pure." This name is highly regarded and pure according to Islamic teachings.
The name Afifa is also mentioned in the Quran. In verse 26 of Surah An-Nur, Allah says:
"Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth. The example of His light is like a niche within which is a lamp, the lamp is within glass, the glass as if it were a pearly [white] star lit from [the oil of] a blessed olive tree, neither of the east nor of the west, whose oil would almost glow even if untouched by fire. Light upon light. Allah guides to His light whom He wills. And Allah presents examples for the people, and Allah is Knowing of all things."
In this verse, Allah is referred to as the Light of the heavens and the earth, and an example of His light is given. The example mentions a lamp placed in a glass, which is like a shining star derived from a blessed olive tree. The oil of this olive tree gives light without even being touched by fire.
