Jamatia is one of the 21 scheduled tribes of Tripura [ ] state of India. They are mainly dwelling in the West Tripura [ ] and the South Tripura [ ] districts. They speak the language Kokborok which is of Tibeto-Burmese origin. Their appearance is mongoloid.
